Are there downsides to using dark colors in your home?

Seeking interior design experts to provide brief (3-5 sentence) and unique answers to these questions:

  • In the trend of dark exterior colors, what are possible concerns that come with that (i.e., hotter house, more expensive AC bill, etc.)?
  • Is it true or false that painting your house a darker color makes it hotter and makes your space feel smaller?
  • Are there ways to prevent a darker-painted home from becoming hotter (better insulation, siding, windows, etc.)?

The deadline is 12 pm EST, July 15.

Please email me ASAP!
